Dierkes Lake is also a popular swimming hold for locals and tourists and walking trails abound all in a safe and secure City Park $3 per car admission to experience it all.

Snake River Canyon

See it from several viewpoints on both the north and south rims including a dramatic walking path on the south rim at Washington Street or for a mile east and west of the Perrine Bridge. Experience it with a pontoon, canoe or whitewater raft ride on the Snake River beginning at Centennial Waterfront Park or by taking a scenic helicopter tour from Golf Road/US 93 intersection on the north side of the canyon.

In 1974, Evil Knievel attempted to leap his rock-powered motorcycle across this canyon. His launching ramp is still standing and can be viewed from the east.
