Ameristar Casinos strives to help people improve the quality of life in the communities where our properties are located and generously supports charitable giving opportunities. |

GOOD CITIZENSHIP
At Ameristar, we proudly support the communities where we live and work through our charitable giving program entitled Ameristar Cares. Approximately 84 percent of our Team Members participated in our 2007 Workplace Giving Campaign where they generously supported the local United Way, Community Health Charities, the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society in each of our markets. They also donated to a designated rehabilitation facility in each community and a local charity chosen by the Team Members. Finally, remembering the adage that charity starts at home, the Team Members generously supported the Sunshine Fund at each property which was established to help our own Team Members in a time of unexpected need.
In 2007, the Team Members and the Company donated a total of $8,652,389 to community organizations where the eight properties are located.
Our charitable giving focuses primarily on:
• Health and Medical Research
• Human Services
• Seniors
• Responsible Gaming

Our Team Members are also active volunteers in their hometowns, each year giving hundreds of hours of their time for worthy causes such as United Way's Day of Caring, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and Rebuilding Together, to name just a few.
We are also committed to responsible gaming, with comprehensive and long-standing programs to address underage and compulsive gambling, as well as responsible alcohol consumption.

LIMITATIONS
Ameristar Casinos' corporate giving program supports non-profits that are designated as a 501(c)(3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service. Ameristar Casinos' giving program does not provide support to:
| • | Those organizations that practice discrimination based on race, creed, color, sex, age or national origin; |
| • | Those organizations that primarily serve their own membership; |
| • | Political parties, candidates or individuals; (These groups and individuals may be supported through Ameristar's Government Affairs department.) |
| • | Private events and third party solicitations; |
| • | Minors, including youth sports leagues and high school prom or "grad" nights. In-kind donations will be considered for school fundraisers but not logo items or cash contributions. Indirect contributions to PTA's, children's hospitals, shelters or training adult leadership for youth groups such as the Boys or Girls Scouts will be considered. |

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Non-profit organizations that meet Ameristar Casinos' giving guidelines and are located in the communities where the properties or corporate headquarters are located should submit their request in writing (on the organization's stationery) to:

PROCESSING REQUESTS
The Contributions Selection Committees require at least 60 days notice to process requests for financial contributions, sponsorships and in-kind donations. Your request should include:
| • | The organization's informational brochure (if available) and the geographic area it covers;
|
| • | The organization's mission statement and percentage of the budget used for administrative costs;
|
| • | A description of the specific program, project or event for which the organization is seeking support and the budget;
|
| • | The donation amount or in-kind gift requested* and the financial goal of the event (if known);
|
| • | Explanation of how the donation will be used, who will benefit from the program or project (including the approximate number of people served) and how they will benefit;
|
| • | A copy of the organization's 501(c)(3) designation letter from the IRS;
|
| • | Explanation of why Ameristar should support the event and how Ameristar's contribution will be acknowledged. |
*All requests exceeding $5,000 should also include the organization's most recent audited financial statement, 990 tax return and annual report.
